Trail Ways eBulletin

May 5, 2004

I know this doesn't look much like a Rotary bulletin, but bear with me while I try and reinvent this wheel (no pun intended). My object is to try and come up with something that can be easily passed onto someone else and/or have it accessible on the Web site. Since I haven't been back from holidays a whole week yet, I haven't had much time to fuss with it. And so in the weeks to come, you may see a variety of attempts until I get it right. Again, bear with me. Of course, I would be immensely grateful to anyone else in the club who would like to take this on. Ray and I have been doing it at the Trail Daily Times, but the program used there isn't one that is easily portable to other computers. So here goes . . . Lana

Polio Report
It looks like all clubs in our district either met or exceeded their commitment for Polio Eradication last year. Trail committed $8,000 which became $6,220 US thereabouts. Congratulations everyone and thanks for your support. But the job's not done yet. Stay tuned.

Rotary Foundation
It should also be noted that the Trail club is in the top 10 per capita in giving to the Rotary Foundation ($98.55 per person on average.) We have to work some to beat Columbia Center ($535), Castlegar Sunrise 2000 ($168), Nakusp ($150) and Nelson Daybreak ($101). Remember, the goal of the Foundation for the Centennial is every Rotarian $100 so we don't have far to go to push us over the top. We didn't make the Top ten for attendance, however.
